An emerging avant-pop artist and alpine witch, based somewhere/everywhere/nowhere between London and her native Toggenburg, whose mystical eco-songs grow from their musical roots into transformative, multisensory live concerts.

Sirenesque melodies combine with analog synthesisers, crunchy beats and recordings of reality from the natural environment of Livia’s pastoral origin to create a misty, eclectic genre-defying sonic landscape, where danceable rhythms meet fragile, sensual melodies in gut-wrenchingly emotional ways.

Livia Rita’s debut album, released on 7th October, is a coming of age journey, that stretches beyond pop and delves deeper towards electronica; beginning from the soft cocoon of “Just Happier” reaching its mystical, sanguine conclusion in the title track “Fuga Futura”. FUGA FUTURA is a collection of 11 songs of beauty and vulnerability that combine to create a world of dark fantasy, queer mythology and hope; where magic abounds and nature rebels. Livia sings an alternative realm into being. Though the exploration of fear, anxiety, desire, identity, ecology, love and community, Livia awakens the otherworldly within; claiming the future as a space for our utopian dreams to thrive at the edge of existence.

Their electronic pop music has expanded into the bountiful conceptual debut album -- FUGA FUTURA – a place of collective healing, intimate dreaming and propagating superpowers, all in an attempt to unite otherworldly revolutionaries.

“The future became my safe space. A place where I let my dreams rave in their vulnerability. FUGA FUTURA - which means to sort of flee into FUTURA or the future - it is a reflection of my personal journey to this point, which I wanted to share with you. I think dreaming and real life are two separated entities… and I find that creating or being creative is very much a bridge between the two. Forgetting about time, getting absorbed; body and mind, get carried away. This feels utopian to me to a degree… the world of FUTURA; home of my music, creatures and spells, places a layer upon reality.”

FUGA FUTURA is the gateway between this world and the next, inviting you to embrace its shimmering existential haze. Dream big, and delight in all that lies within.

DYSTOPIA WETLANDS is an ethereal bio punk EP to be released in early spring 2023 together with a music video trilogy / short film that explores a cross-species alliance by interweaving our identities with nature. Mixing angry, distorted baselines and catchy beats with dreamy-cosmic vocals, these tracks aim to give space for nature to rebel and let magic seduce our senses.

(70 mins) Livia Rita has been tirelessly cultivating a reputation for subverting music through her tantalising and adventurous live performances which, alongside musicianship; merge collaboration and brave choreography with self-sculpted wearables (ArtFashion) that serve to explore the oscillating relationship of gender and nature as we strive for inclusion. Alongside a live band (Dave Flüetsch on drums & Tom McLuckie on synths), the music of FUGA FUTURA & DYSTOPIA WETLANDS is amplified by Livia Rita and 2 dancers with an expansive visual layer by transforming through wearing ArtFashion from one otherworldly creature to the next.

Livia Rita’s vision should enchant and bewitch, offering a new style of sensual, intuitive pop music from the occult world that casts spells upon the future. The live concert aims to surprise and overwhelm your senses, luring you into a totally multisensory journey towards Futura. It is at once an invitation to intimacy and a steadfast call for change to ambitiously search for new identities.

Together with their creative family, the Avantgardeners Community, Livia Rita has developed an alternative, interactive merch stand, where people can meet the FUTURA world on a multisensory level; from smells custom made by our herbalist, a physical spell books combining the lyrics with photography, a VR world of the FUTURA songs to tarrot cards of the creatures they will meet onstage.

We are available for live shows and festivals in Europe from May 2023 until summer 2024.

  • In terms of the live music, we need a good PA & mixer, as well as a sound engineer.

  • In terms of light, we are flexible to adapt to local possibilities, but will send through an ‘ideal’ light design and appreciate working with a local light engineer. We will use haze.

  • Spacewise: We are happy to work with a classic concert set-up, but are up for it if possibilities allow to discuss options for a more immersive space use. On our 2022 UK tour, we successfully curated nights alongside local artists, across a range of artistic disciplines in 10 different cities. We’d be interested in hosting these kind of nights again if you are interested and if it could fit your audience and program.

  • We need table to sell merch after the show

  • If we decide to do a screening of the film, we need a projector and a screen.

    TRAVELLING CREW

Our ideal crew consists of 2 - 4 musicians (band in small or bigger formation) with an original live arrangement, three dancers (2 locals) (also scalable to 1 dancer) and a producer managing our Swampy Coven / merch stand (more info below) and supporting our social media.

Where the space allows / invites to - especially in immersive set-ups - we like working with additional performers to have further creatures taking over the space towards the end of the show.

We travel by train, boat and touring van.

We had the space for one day only, and worked with local creatures (mainly amateurs) to transform the concert into a club experience.
